CURRENT 40 Highlights - 01092K8

- "Crushcrushcrush", Paramore's 2nd single off their sophomore album Riot!, snatches the #1 spot away from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' "Your Guardian Angel".

- Ne-Yo and Flo Rida storm into the Top 10 territory with "Go On Girl" and "Low", respectively. T-Pain, who is the guest artist in "Low", has claimed his 3rd Top 10 single in just less than 6 months. Britney Spears re-entered Top 10 with "Piece of Me".

- Stereophonics' "It Means Nothing" and Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" climb up 11 positions each to both become this week's biggest gainers. Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy's "I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me + You)" and "Like You'll Never See Me Again", Alicia Keys' 2nd single off As I Am, slides down 10 spots each and are this week's biggest losers. Hmmm, it seems like the rather long song titles don't help them much in their respective CURRENT 40 chart performances.

- Just when we thought we've had enough of him, Sean Kingston has 2 new entries this week! His collaboration with Kiwi singer Natasha Bedingfield, "Love Like This", is this week's highest new entry at #38, while "Take You There", his 3rd single off his eponymous debut album, takes him to #40.

- Sandwiched between 2 Sean Kingstons is local band Overtone setting the record straight in their CURRENT 40 debut with "Rule #1 Wag Mong Aaminin". OPM, led by Mojofly's "Simula", indeed has a rousing start and now has 7 songs within Top 40.
